What is a BlogRoll?

BlogRolling is a one-stop linklist manager for your blog or journal. BlogRolling lets you know when the sites in your linklist were last updated by adding one simple piece of code to your website and you're off and running!

The fatfighters FitRoll appears on the home page and looks like this:

The flower on the right means the site was recently updated.

The FitRoll
Don’t mind me, I was just getting cute with the name, it’s really a blogroll. Ideally your blog should already be listed in the directory, if not, expect me to gently harass you till it is

There are a few ground rules:

*Everyone who joins the blogroll MUST add the code to their blog. This way, we promote each other. Get the code here.
Please add the code to the main page of your site first, then contact me to let me know the code has been added, don't forget to include your URL.
For the near future, the blogroll will only have 50 blogs. If you want to be listed, join as soon as possible. If demand is great, I’ll increase the max number of blogs.

**Links will be checked monthly and dead blogs will be removed from the blogroll. You'll also be removed if your blog hasn’t been updated in over a month. The purpose of having the blogroll on the front page is to provide visitors with fresh reads on a semi regular basis. As links are removed, slots will be open up for others to join. So long as there is room you can reapply when your site gets active again.

*What if you already have a blogroll and you find that some of your existing reads are also listed on the fatfighters blogroll?

There is no conflict. Most people promote their various interest groups by having multiple blogrolls.

**The removal procedure just applies to the blogroll. The only time I remove links from the directory is if the URL goes dead, the person moves to another URL or the site is no longer weight related. I do not monitor whether or not site’s in the directory are being actively updated.

Once you join the FitRoll, consider joining the WebRing too.

i've already been added to the list but just for those that can manually add a ping on their websites (through Movable Type for example) under your settings in "publicity/remote interfaces" or "notify these sites upon update" be sure to add http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/ or your sites won't show up as newly updated

i was added to the list and all was well. then i noticed the fitroll was gone from my blog. not sure what happened but i have put the code back in and it all seems to be ok again. just in case it looked suss from your end.

I just posted above re my blog but when I went to post on it today I found Google has blocked it as a spam blog!! Its not! I can't publish your code until it gets unblocked. I am getting it reviewed but don't know how long they take for that! Meanwhile please can you hold a place for me? I think I will move it to WordPress so that this can't happen again
