Queston for you, when you say 5th walk? How are you counting this? The Beginners: This week you'll walk 1 mile or 20 minutes, three days.

I just didn't want people to get confused when they see you say you did a 10th or 15th walk, when everyone else checks in saying they did walk #2 @ most walk #5 in any given week wondering what kind of walking fiend wink you are doing over 5 walks a week.

Are you counting out all the walks in the entire 10 weeks and numbering each of them?

First one ( ) of the week done today.

Did it on the treadmill at the gym. Don't have the exact specs on me now - but was definetly 1.4 miles. (I think time was 35 minutes)

I just finished walk #2 for the week....hopped on the treadmill and got it done!

Today was a smidge stressful at work...and kind of sedentary, so it was nice to get on the treadmill and just walk the stress away.

I did already! Well, I walked for 25 minutes (not counting warmup/cooldown) on Monday lunchtime, and then ran for 21 minutes (5 minute walk cooldown) and did 25 minutes on the elliptical on Monday evening. So I'm back on my normal workout schedule.

Also, 21 minutes running without needing a break to walk is my personal best.

So far, I've gotten three "walks" in. Sunday was 30 min. on the elliptical with a 15 minute walk, Monday was a 4 mile run, and today was another 30 minutes on the elliptical.

sorry I am counting them as I go to track for my records. The first week I did three walks so the walk I did sunday would be 4 and todays would be five extra....... Sorr little confusing I know.

I just wanted to let you know that I have done it goes like this 20 mins on sunday 20 mins on wed and 20 mins on thirs and 20 mins today. I do the watps tapes as she goes by miles and it is easier for me to keep track that way.
will be back to way in on sunday. Oh did measurements today and have lost two inches off my waist since Jan 1/06 started at 35inches. so I now have a 33inch waist. Yah me also dropped down an inch on my thighs and increased an inch on my arms. I am on workout number 5 one more to go for the week and then rest day on sat......

Ok, the multiple shoe choices seemed to be way more confusing than I planned. So now there's a single unnumbered shoe that you can click on per walk and it'll show up once per click. 3 clicks = 3 shoes

Speaking of shoes, got my in on Wed, need to do one more tomorrow!

Wow angie that was really quick, it shipped on the 23rd and they said it was going to take 4-6 week to reach you in canada. I'll write a review this month so after you read it, feel free to share your thoughts on that entry.

Hi Challengers!
I haven't updated my blog or checked in here this week.. I keep getting distracted BUT... here goes... I worked out Monday and Today with the personal trainer.. I walked Monday-Tuesday and Wednesday.
so that's 3 walks I didn't walk today except as a warm up for my session but I'm still giving myself props for keeping up with daily exercise .. (plus that trainer kicks my butt!!!)
I'll probably walk tomorrow morning.. tomorrow night I'll be in NYC taking my daughter to see Rent
Then the next day is my niece's sweet 16... probably can't get any exercise in on Saturday!

Keep up the great work!

Hi all! I walked Monday, met with the trainer Tuesday, and went to spinning last night, so I'm counting that as three walks so far this week. I should get my last one in tomorrow after work or Saturday morning. Woo!

I only got in walks this week. Winter can bcak to MN, but if I han't been part of this challenge I bet I would have got in 0 walks.

I start week 3 tomorrow and I will weigh in tomorrow I didn't have time today. I will try and get it done before work tomorrow. I think I did a good work out today at work. I had a steady rush of customers from 10 this morning until 5 tonight when I got off. Glade to be home get to do it all again tomorrow it is getting better by the day......

Roundup for the week:

Monday 25 mins walked, 21 mins run / 25 mins elliptical.

Thursday 35 minutes stairmaster / 20 mins elliptical.

Saturday about 90 minutes climbing Arthur's Seat (250m high local big hill). Looking at a map, I think it was about 6km, but some of that was very steep!

I totally spaced on the fact that yesterday was Sunday and check-in day. smile

So, this last week, I logged 6 "walks," which consisted of a total of 13.5 miles running, 3 hours of other types of cardio, and two weight-lifting sessions.

However, I can't report a loss this week. My weigh-in's are on Wednesdays, so I weighed about 5 days ago and the scale was way up. So, I'm hoping that maybe I can report a loss in a few days. I'm doing my best to remain optimistic... smile

Missed my optional 5th, but to be fair I had no electricity due to gale force winds. Also, haven't weighed in this week. Just can't face the truth of all that I've eaten this weekend.
