W2 Check In & Weigh In
After one solid week of burning calories, how'd you do? Did you slip, miss a workout, eat too much? That's okay. Consider it a lesson learned as you enter week 2 and come up with a plan to overcome that pitfall should it arise again this week. You don't have to be perfect, just consistent. Don't give up if week 1 didn't go exactly to plan, there are 15 weeks left in the year, 15-30lbs to safely burn off ![]()

I did okay. I was hoping for a loss but instead I maintained. I am going to kick up my exercise for this week.
Hi everyone...
I also maintained this weekend. I did really well during the week...but then fell apart this weekend. The sad part, is that I knew I was doing it.
But...the good news, I didn't gain...so I am off to the races again and this time I am going to plan much better for the weekend.
Today...I am going to be eating out for dinner..a yummy eggplant parm sandwich, but I also plan on working out on the elliptical for almost an hour. So, it will probably all even out, but that's better than eating bad and just letting it be, eh?
All of my moving caught up w/me on Sat and I slept from 6pm to midnite, then back to sleep from 1am till almost 10am sunday ![]()
To say I feel well rested is an understatement, yet I'm also terribly behind as I can't find anything and boxes and bags are all over the place...*sigh*...the good news is...either today or tomorrow I'm getting in my new gym and while I'm more a Sunday/Monday fresh start kinda gal...I'm itchin' to get back in the gym...even if it's mid week
I maintained as well I am expecting TOM this week or at the start of next week as it had jumped up to 142lbs today and a couple of days ago. But yesterday was 139lbs. Eating has been good. I had a few things I shouldn't have had, but I made up for it by exercise. I have been slacking on my water but starting today I am back on track with my water. I brought my 32 oz water bottle with me and drank one full one before I left work one before I left home and will have one before bed. I only had two pop diet pepsi so much better then last week. I get my first pay check from my new job on friday and will stock up on helathy foods and snacks then I have my list all made. I an tired of being stuck at the same number for the laast yrs and want to be at goal before this time next yrs congrads to everyone else. Keep up the good work.
glade to see you back renee we have missed you. I wanted to let you know that I have a chat room on my site and if you ladies wanted to set up a chat time to talk about the challenge feel free too. I also have new message boards set up on my site too. let me know what you think and we can set something up.

Hey angie, what you have sounds great, while I can't personally join in right now, I just have too much stuff on my plate, feel free to post the links to rustle up the others.
I'm rocking the house so far this week. I'm on plan with WW Core.
The thing that's missing is the exercise part. I've been exhausted from my big, fun, weight gaining weekend. Plus, I might have a stress fracture in my foot, which of course impedes a lot of exercise-ish things. Blah. I have a appt with an orthopedist on Monday.
Until then, I'm going to try to get to the gym. I've got a weight training date with my mom. I think I'm going skip doing legs this week, as I don't think my sore foot can handle the pressure of squats and leg presses.
Angie, if we can work out a time, I'd love to chat with you!
I did alright yesterday...I did have my eggplant parm...and it wasn't in the diet per se, but I also worked out and did well otherwise.
I felt great working out yesterday...felt like I could have run on that things for years. I love my elliptical...it's one of my favorite machines. And I love having something in my apartment so I can workout on my own schedule...while watching crap tv.
Hey Shelley, my new gym has 4 elliptical machines!! One called a precour (sp?) and the one I'm used to @ golds and 2 others that almost looke like a stair climber/nordic track.
Gotta look @ the upside of bugs, if nothing else, they'll keep me in the gym ![]()

Also the chat room is in my list of things to do in the navigation bar. I have a clock on my blog that tells my current time. I am usually free to chat after 6pm juring the week and after 12 noon on saturday and sundays. I am not sure how to figure out the time difference but if you chek out the time on my blog then you can figure it out that way. I am in ottawa canada once time differences are set up then we can go from there. also if anyone has ideas for my message boards then also let me know. Anyone doing the challenge or that visits the site is welcome. and renee I'll handle the end of the chats and boards if you like so that way it will be one less thing. if anyone wants to be a medator with me on the boards then let me know I can set that up as well.
eating has been good today and exercise. walked the stairs at work 61 steps which is 3 stories up. its in a tall mall. walked a mile this morning.I think I got TOM finally today so weight should balance out and hopefully have a good loss for next monday. hope everyone else has a good rest of the week and hope to see you over in the chat room and on the boards.

renee- Oooh...4 types of ellipticals, eh? I like the precor types. The one in my apartment is very basic...I bought the cheapest one they sold. I figured I didn't all the crazy bells and whistles. I have a friend who really wants me to join the Y...and I might...even though I hate giving away my money. We'll see.
My elliptical is called a momentum elliptical I guess. I bought it at Devil-Mart. Here's a link:

This week so far...is going well. I weigh in unofficially every morning...and my scales are going back in the right direction. I showed a small gain the morning after my maintain weigh in...and now I am back to where I was on Monday. I know consistency will win this race....just gotta do it, RIGHT?

I'm still hanging in there...I am doing well so far today and Wednesday is the day where historically I fall apart. I might go out fopr a walk later today between work and my tutorial. A better use of time than going to Starbucks and staring off into space for 45 minutes...although, I have to admit, that's pretty cathartic as well. We'll see how my students are this afternoon...
I think at this point, I've got a deficiet of 750. If I eat well today and get a 2.5 mile walk in, I'll be at 1250 by the end of the day. I'll be happy with that.

Hey all! I can't believe that it is Thursday at lunch time and I still have flexies left...that is totally amazing. Usually I'm burnt out by now.
Just had to let you know...
hey ladies I started a thread over on the message boards if you want to use it to post about the challenge. I also put a stop to go and vent if having a bad day diet wise or what ever. me am doing good have been eating around 1200 or just in calories and have worked out almost everyday except for yesterday and today have had a sore calf the last two nights woke up with really bad pain in it like craping i guess like a charlie horse kind of thing will work out tomorrow if it my leg is okay. I don't want to push it and hurt it even more. I did extra walking today to make up for it. Anyway have a good night all and a good weekend.

Hey y'all...
I am hanging in there...but I feel myself slipping a little itty bit...which of course...the itty bit always turns into a big huge slide back into where I don't want to be.
Last night at the video store...for a snack...I had an ice cream cookie sandwich..you know those with two choc chip cookies on the outside...and cold, yummy ice cream in the middle. Yep...that's right...I wouldn't even look at the label because it would slowly kill my soul!
But...I am not going to fret...I am going to forge ahead. I have a bad weekend coming up...it's balloon fest weekend...so it is a lot of not working out and maybe being around fried bread dough and the likes. I don't want to not live...I am just going to go for healthy if I can and moderation if I can't.
I might help a friend move...and well...that at least can be unplanned exercise. It doesn't have to be on an elliptical to be classified as exercise, eh?

I've been treading water for the first two weeks of the challenge, even though I haven't had any planned exercise and eating has been hit or miss, w/o the challenge nagging in the back of my head, I truly would have fallen face first into a vat of ice cream...![]()
All that to say, you feel yourself slipping and if the challenge weren't going on, you would've been well into the slippage w/o even realizing, make sense?

Hey all...things got a little wonky today with the food. I didn't go nuts, but I know I'm out of flexies and that's just the way it is. I'm just impressed that I woke up Friday morning with points left...that is unheard of!
I'm struggling now to drink a glass of Kombucha tea that my hubby poured for me...blech, but I know it's good for me.
glade to see that i am not the only one that didn't do to well today. I haven't done much regular exercise as I haven't been feeling well and have had a sore calf. I got TOM on Wed and have felt pretty terrible. but eating has been ok for the most part and water intake. I have not eaten past 7 30 every night this week except for last night. have a good weekend all

I gained 1.2 this past week. I think that if I hadn't "done the job" for many of those days it would have been more. I had a *big* weekend. A childhood friend of mine got married, so I had a rehearsal dinner and a wedding this weekend....so I'm not unhappy with my 169.2 weigh-in yesterday.
I'm already on track for this week, so I'm on my way!
