I have been doing well. Working hard. I have kept my motivation even though I seem to stuck in some kind of plateau and the weight is holding fast. But I will fight this battle and win.
Hello Everyone!
I'm new Fat Fighter but I want to jump right in and get to work. I will participate in this Challenge and pick my poison to be both - burn 250 calories via exercise and cut back on food 250 calories.
I have had a rude awakening of urgency in losing weight. If any of you need more incentive, calculate your percentage of body fat and consider how many pounds of fat that equals.
Its enough to make anybody serious about more losing.
Keep up the great work everyone!
Hi everyone....
It's Tuesday and I haven't checked in yet...Bad Shelley! Things are okay, but not great in my whole diet plan, etc. I do fabulous during the week...but once the weekend comes...I seem to lose all motivation and hope.
So...I am going to start planning out my food a little better over the weekend. I think during the week...everything is so structured, so it keeps me on track. But during the weekend...there is a lot more unknown, etc.
I did eat on plan yesterday...and worked out for 40 minutes on the elliptical. Tonight...plan on eating well, getting my elliptical groove on and then also burning some bonus calories cleaning the apartment because it is in desperate need of it.
Hope everyone else is celebrating a great week 3!
hey girls I am still here holding on. my weight i think has gone upI am trying to get a hold of my eating. exercise is going good. I have actually increased it. And am making sure I get my water in.I am getting frustrated with this weight. I am beginning to think I will never get to goal. did a little better with my eating today but still needs major work. This is the third time I'm trying to post here today, and it's not the site that's holding me back. It's the fact that I can't seem to get myself together and I'm unhappy about it. I can almost taste how disappointed I am in myself. Blah.
I know that this is something I have to work through, and I'm sure I could list about a million reasons as to why it's not 100% my fault, but what it comes down to is that on some level, it's me that's not getting it back together. My weight has stayed the same, thank goodness, but it's going to go back up if I keep this up.
Yikes! I didn't mean to get all weight-philosophical on you all...I just needed to get this off my chest, so that I can start over at this very moment.
See ya'll tomorrow when I'm here reporting that I'm moving (finally) in the right direction.
Hey - a loss! the first one since the end of May! Okay, I gained this half a pound the first week, so I'm back to where I started, but a) it's a loss and b) it's NOT a gain. That little bit is makign me feel like maybe I really can move the scale (I'd stopped believing it would ever move down for me)!
That's success!
Welcome to the hive Magnolia Mom ![]()
*hugs* Alanna, I can really relate to what you posted, as I'm going through my own treading water. I know a big factor is my entire life has been uprooted and I'm trying to keep things from getting out of control and when that happens, being 100% dedicated to eating and working out is furthest from my mind. I console myself by remembering, just a few more days, but it is frustrating that I can't seem to figure a way to do both, have a life where drama happens and stick to my weight loss routine.
Success it is neca, success it is ![]()
Hi everyone!
alana...I can completely understand your pain. I am either 100% committed or not committed at all. It's so frustrating. In an ideal world..I would like to be committed 75-80% all the time. I just have never figured out how to make that work.
Welome to Joie, Magnolia Mom and Neca! I love the challenges over here...it's often the motivation I need to keep going.
TC- Hey...in my book a maintain is a victory. Yep, it's not as good as a loss, but you kept off a gain, eh?
Angie- Sounds like you have a great plan...and the anger you have about the weight being up might be the perfect motivation.
And my update about the weight. I only weigh in monthly officially...and it is October 1st, so here is my monthly weigh-in. I lost 7 pounds during the month of September. That means that I am 14 pounds away from my goal. Wow....it's been a long time since I have been so close. whoo hooo!!!!!
Hello All,

Simi

Today is my first fat fighting day,2nd of October, its hard to break away from the everyday routine..and skip stuff that I like to eat..but thankfully I think I dont feel like cheating(..right now atleast)..and will carry out a 1000calorie consumption day..(fingers crossed). Also will go to the gym for a atleast 250cal work out....May all this come true.
Simi
I want to be motivated..i managed the day well..work out- 250 cal...consumped thru out the day 1200cal(had targeted eating 1000 only though)..but somehow the pang of hunger keeps growing..its the food that i missed eating today.
....but yess i want to grow slimmer..Shelly's little note is really inspiring-7 pounds lost!!It must be a great feeling to grow slimmer..and that must be really a huge motivation..wish i can loose some soon so that, that can be my biggest motivation...
Welcome Simi!
Congrats!!! Shelley on the 7lb loss!!! That is awesome, you fit in nicely with the Celebrity Fit Clubbers
Hello All,
I am sooo glad that I joined this club..its been a week and I have lost 1 kg!!!Its unbelievable but I realised not that difficult,as now when I go to buy groceries I do not buy anything that is more than 200calories/100gms..this keeps a tab on my calorie intake..also I realised to increase the body metabolism, which is the key to losing weight, some 20 min of jog is all that is needed to burn 150Calories,also drinking a glass of warm water with lemon the first thing in the morning, which I searched on the Net, increases body metabolism and reduces hunger...
Also I want to share another secret of keeping a tab on my caloriesIi enrolled myself in www.weightlossresources.co.uk,which has a 3 day free trial ,as I didnt want to use my credit card, this site notes down your exisiting weight and your dream weight and calculates the no.of calories you should be eating less in a day to reach that dream weight..in 3 days I was aware of what kind of food that I should be eating to maintain the required calorie count. Also its interesting to note that the site shows you how many calories/day you should consume less to loose 1kg/week.
We need to burn 7700cal/week to loose 1 kg.So if we cut 1000cal/day it means by the end of the week(7 Days) we loose 1kg,coupled with some exercise, walk etc
So the effort goes on till I lose the rest of the 9kgs..which should be in 9 weeks time...if I dont CHEAT

Okay ladies, I stayed the same this week. I definitely have to revisit my goals, and depending on what the Orthopedist tells me this afternoon, I might have to change some of my methods.
Food wise, I had an explosion on Friday. A food explosion. I didn't binge eat or anything, I just collapsed diet wise and started eating "treat" foods for most of my foods that day. Then I worked at a party Saturday night, and I didn't eat terribly, but I did drink a lot of diet soda and I think between that, and the cold medications I'm shoving on myself, I am holding on to a little bit of water.
Enough excuses for now, I've got to go and check those goals!
